Renovate existing Haslet Elementary to serve as a district facility

  • The existing Haslet campus, which is 25 years old, is one of the district’s oldest elementary schools. Many of the campus’ building systems, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing and roofing, are past their lifecycle and equipment and finishes are aging. The current campus is undersized at the old 650-student model and doesn’t meet NISD’s current educational delivery standards. For these reasons, the district is proposing to construct a new 850-student elementary school that meets the district’s current standards instead of adding on to the original building.
  • The campus will be renovated to serve and consolidate departments that are currently spread out across the district. As the district has grown NISD has not added any additional administrative square footage and is in need of one centralized location to increase operational efficiencies.
